A Background Built on Compassion

For the last 18 years, I’ve helped kids, teens, families, and adults regain agency over their own lives. I do this work because I’m genuinely interested in people’s stories, and because it doesn’t feel like work — it feels like what I was meant to do. 

I have extensive knowledge in special education and advocating for the needs of children. I am the mother of three children myself, including one with a vision impairment. 

People have told me they enjoy working with me because I give them a safe space to say things they wouldn’t say to anyone else, and real, concrete strategies to feel better fast.

A Specialized Approach

The methods and techniques we’ll utilize in therapy will be as one-of-a-kind as you are. In our first few sessions, we’ll get to know each other and identify the strengths and qualities you already have that can be built upon to help you live the life you want to be living. 

I’ll support and empower you as we explore how your past may be impacting your present, and learn tools and skills to help better manage anxiety and stress. When I think it could be helpful to think outside the box, I’ll challenge you to do so.

I realize most challenges you face will arise in the time between sessions, so I have an open policy when it comes to reaching out. Even if I can’t respond right away, I’ll encourage you to message me in moments of struggle so that you can get it off your chest and we can address it.

With a toolbox full of strategies and skills that will help you thrive through the stress of day-to-day life, you’ll be able to slow down and rediscover joy in the little things. Moving forward, you’ll know that your own happiness and peace should be a priority, and will be able to accomplish what you desire without worrying what others will think. 

You’ll know who you are and what you want and need, and will be able to make decisions for yourself with confidence. You’ll realize that even when things feel really bad, they won’t feel that way forever, and be able to ride the waves of big emotions as they ebb and flow.
